Dayton Dance Initiative
Dayton Dance Initiative (DDI) is an independent collective of professional dancers working to produce innovative and diverse dance experiences for artists and audiences alike. DDI’s mission is to provide professional dancers a platform to collaborate and create with artists outside their own company or genre while deepening the Dayton community’s interaction with the art of dance.
Dayton Dance Initiative engages the community through their annual summer production, Making Moves, which takes place at the PNC Arts Annex, as well as through master classes, community events, and online content creation. Since its inception in 2019, DDI has commissioned 24 live world premiere dance works and employed over 30 dancers. Dayton Dance Initiative is a resident company of the PNC Arts Annex and Dayton Live, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit presenting organization acting as the fiscal agent.
